How to Forward a Phishing Email as an attachment in Outlook
When forwarding a suspicious email to CyberSecurity or IT Services we need you to include the full headers so all of the information about the email is included.
This gives us the ability to properly investigate the email/issue.
Below are steps for windows Mac and Web users:
Outlook 2019 Windows

Double-click on the message to open it.
- On the Message tab, there is a group of icons under the title Respond.
- Click the More button and then select Forward as Attachment.

Enter cybersecurity@londonmet.ac.uk in the To: box.

Click Send.
Outlook on the Web
- Select (highlight) the mail item you like to share
- Where the forward action button is, click on the drop down selector

Select forward as attachment

Enter cybersecurity@londonmet.ac.uk in the To: box.
- Send

Outlook for Mac devices(OSX)
- Select (highlight) the mail item you like to share

Right click on the email item and select “Forward as attachment” or
- From the message menu select “Forward as attachment”

Enter cybersecurity@londonmet.ac.uk in the To: box
- Send


Additional Tips
- Ensure you are sending to the correct cybersecurity team email address.

Include any relevant details or context that might help the cybersecurity team understand the issue.

If you don’t receive a response within a reasonable time, follow up with the cybersecurity team to ensure they received your email.
