A Guide to Printing at London Metropolitan University
This guide offers a straightforward overview of using the printing facilities at London Metropolitan University.
Step A: Top Up Your Print Credits
Following the top-up of your account and one-time card registration, you can easily print your documents.
1. Visit print.londonmet.ac.uk
2. Enter your username and password, then click login.

3. Once logged in, the screen will display a summary of your printing account. Select the "Add Credit" option from the left-hand menu

4. On the "Add Credit" screen, select from the drop-down menu and choose the amount you wish to add to your print credit account.

5. Once you have selected the amount, press the "Add value" button.
6. Fill in your card details on the payment form and click "Pay Now". You may then need to authenticate the payment with your bank. After completing payment, a message will be displayed confirming that your printing credit has been added to your account.
Step B: One-Time Card Registration
Before using the printers for the first time, you will need to register your university ID card. This is a simple, one-time process.
1. Hold your student or staff card over the reader.

2. Enter your username, followed by your password, and then press the "Log In" option. This will associate your card with your account.

3. Your ID card is now linked to your account. Now, swipe your ID card to log in, or enter your username and password.

Releasing Prints
Now that your card is registered, you can release, scan or copy your print jobs at any printer in the university.
Option A: If you want to print all your documents at once, use the "Print All" button. Once you're done, select the "Log Out" option.

Option B: If you want to print individual files, then select the "Print release" button.

In the next interface, select the jobs you want to print and press "Print". You also have the option to "Print as grayscale" or "Print as 2-sided".

The printer will confirm the status of your print job. Once you're done, press the "Log out" option.

You also have the option to delete the remaining files if you don't wish to print them. Press the "Bin Icon" and then press "DELETE" to remove all the other files. Once you're done, press the "Log out" option.

Note: The file will remain on the server for 24 hours from the moment you send a print job. If you haven't printed it within that time, you will need to resend the file to the server to print it again.
How to Scan Documents
To scan your documents, swipe your ID card to log in, or enter your username and password on the main screen and then select the "Scan" option.

You have the option to choose either "Scan to My Email" or "Scan to OneDrive."

To scan the document and send it to your email, follow these instructions: First, select the "Scan to My Email" option.

In the next interface, click the "Settings" button to change settings, such as one-sided or two-sided printing, Paper Size, or DPI.

In the next interface, you have the option to make any changes before you start scanning your document. Once you have configured all the settings, click the small arrow highlighted to return to the previous interface.

You can also further edit the email's "Subject" and "Filename". Once done, you can select the "Start Scanning" button.

Press the small arrow highlighted to return to the previous interface if you wish to scan your document to your OneDrive

To scan the document and send it to your OneDrive, first, select the "Scan to OneDrive" option.

In the next interface, click the "Settings" button to change settings, such as one-sided or two-sided printing, Paper Size, or DPI.

In the next interface, you have the option to make any changes before you start scanning your document. Once you have configured all the settings, click the small arrow highlighted to return to the previous interface.

You can also further edit the email's "Subject" and "Filename". Once done, you can select the "Start Scanning" button. Once finished, press the "Logout" option.

How to Copy Documents
To copy your documents, swipe your ID card to log in, or enter your username and password on the main screen and then select the "Device Functions" option.

In the next interface, click on the "Copy" button. You will also be able to see the types of paper available for printing.

In the next interface, you have the option to select the color type and set the quantity for your copies. Additionally, you can choose whether to copy the document on one side or both sides of the page. Once you have made your selections, click the "Start" button to begin the copying process.

Once you're done, press the "Logout" button.
